The Qsystems EMS Warehouse module provides functionalities of inbound scanning for receiving with license plates (manufacturer generated carton labels) and for returns with return tracking labels, as well as outbound scanning for both bulk and individual shipping to verify and confirm. All picking tickets and box labels are bar-coded for scanning. Bluetooth or access point based RF (Radio Frequency) devices are recommended.
All inventory items are to be stored in bin locations with bar-code labels. The location code is used to locate items to be pulled for shipping, to be stored for receiving and returns, and to be counted for physical inventory. There can be multiple locations for an item that need to be consolidated for counting. Transferring inventory items from location to location using scanner will be provided.
Handling B2C and Drop-ship orders requires efficiency to be able to ship many small orders within a timeframe. Letdown approach organizes the shipping process with the 3Ps (Pulling, Picking and Packing). Using scanners for 3P operation enables an ‘error free shipping’ process which saves a tremendous amount of time.
Mapping with shipping stations such as UPS, FedEx, etc. will allow the EMS to push shipping information to shipping stations automatically and pull data from shipping stations with tracking numbers and freight charges when necessary. For SDF compliance, EMS also switches shipper’s profiles to match with SDF customer’s “ship from” address and account number.
The EMS exchanges data with 3PL warehouse’s WMS (Warehouse Management System) through API endpoints, FTP, or EDI communication. The EMS then pushes picking ticket information as shipping orders to the warehouse and receives confirmation from the 3PL warehouse to be used for billing, ASN data for EDI transactions, and completion of WEB orders. Our EMS also reconciles inventory with physical inventory reports from the 3PL warehouse.
